How did Kitchen Nation start?
In 2014, I embarked on my first startup in Dubai, forming a Hub that offered services ranging from order reception and delivery logistics to process consulting, with a sole focus on improving customer satisfaction.
Digitalization gained significant momentum in 2018, and major companies like UberEATS and Deliveroo, came and drove the growth of Dark Kitchens.
From Dubai to Mexico
My name is Carlos Escudero, and Dubai brought me back to my hometown, Monterrey Nuevo León, the city of mountains, with a very clear objective: to support restaurant owners in expanding at a low cost. Thus, Kitchen Nation was born. The pandemic came and went. Covid changed consumer behaviors, and food delivery experienced a drastic decrease in order volume.
This led me to reduce costs as we entered survival mode, while in the morning I was procurement, delivery guy, and maintenance worker, in the afternoons a cashier, and in the evenings, a director.
The idea of helping companies grow at a low cost continues; I found a path in the industry and in educational institutions to do so.
